Wisconsin Disability Rights Need You

Hello Wisconsin friends of ASAN,

My name is Jules Good and I am the Programs Coordinator at ASAN. I’m also looping in my colleague Nina Stoller (they/them), one of our Policy Coordinators. 

We are working with a coalition of other disability rights orgs to find folks to meet with key Congresspeople on a bill that would phase out subminimum wage for disabled workers and fund competitive integrated employment. The bill is called the Transformation to Competitive Integrated Employment Act (TCIEA). You can learn all about it here. One of the Congresspeople we need folks to meet with is Representative Glenn Grothman.

If this is something you’re already engaged with, we’d love to learn how we can support your work. If not, we’d love to set up a call/Zoom/email chat with you to discuss the bill and issue in more detail. We can help to prepare you for a call with Representative Grothman’s office if you live in his district and that’s something you’re willing to do.
